A new discovery (for me)

How gorgeous is Seth Lakeman?!!! I love the really fast bit where his arm is a total blur!

He's doing an outdoor gig at Arley Hall this summer with The Levellers. I'd never heard of him before so thought I would check him out and with my recent new toy, my beloved ipod (which is now surgically attached to me!!), I ended up downloading one of his albums called Freedom Fields. It's brilliant! What a talented man he is!!

On the subject of music, I've yet to get my guitar. Hopefully this weekend. Thanks for all the great advice!! You're all stars! I have printed it out and made notes and I've been doing my research and I feel much more confident about getting the right one now. Thanks! Can't wait to get started!

I've also sold 3 more pairs of earrings!!! It's so exciting. Thank you to 2 readers of this blog! :-) (You know who you are!!)

Have a great day everyone, whatever you're up to!

The album that song comes from (Kitty Jay) is beautiful - I've been listening to his stuff for a few years now and I love his playing.

Congrats on your first etsy sale too - those earrings are gorgeous.

Fantastic! I love this sort of music, really into folk-ish stuff. Have always liked Barbershop as well! I am going to have to check him out on Itunes now! I have had an MP3 player for a while now and can't live without it!!! However mine is not an iPod.

Congrats on your earrings sales too, MARVELOUS! Wearing mine today, they are wonderful! Best of luck buying a guitar, think Na' had a lot of good advice for you.

Smiles all round! :-D

I thought of you the other day, I was walking through Steyning, a very pretty village, near to me, and passed a shop which sold guitars, they had an amazing shiny blue one in the window, beautiful, it made me wish that I wanted one. I can just see you now, jewellery tweezers in one hand, and plectrum in the other, how you will cope I don't know, but well done to you for the latest sales of earrings. x

Oohh, I like. I spent a happy morning You Tubing as much of his stuff I could find, good for him not giving up his folky roots just to have a commercial hit.

Enjoyed listening to this. I come from a strings family - my parents both played the violin professionally - it is my favourite instrument. have you seen the film "The red Violin"?

This is Fabulous and thanks so much for sharing with us.. I have never heard of this guy before but I am about to find out more by logging on to itunes..
I think this was filmed in a music shop in Bath where I live looking at the background.. I walked through there this morning. Wish Seth had been playing at the time!!!
